So they call it photography and i call it capture-graphy, does such a word exist you ask? staring at me with a smirk on your face, well yea! i created it. Not an oppotunity for recognition but because i truly feel thats what it is. A few years ago, i was on a special opps, nature shoot with a fellow capture-grapher, hilariously not for the secret service but on our own cognisance. We sat there waiting for a flock of rare Flamingo birds, to land and perform their feeding richual. At that point i realized how patient we must have been, sitting there for over 4 hours waiting to do what? to take some pictures as some say. No, we wanted to capture a rare moment that is taken for granted by most, unless they are sitting in front of the National Geographic Channel. Then and there i had a conviction, "voila" i'm not a photographer, photograpahers take pictures. I am a capture-grapher and capture-graphy is what i do. If we search within ourselves, we should realise how we as humans capture quite a lot as a camera would, millions of colors, shapes, depts and dimensions. We capture it all on a daily basis through our eyes which act in the same way a digital camera lens would.
strapped to our person, we like to call smart phones. So they can tell us where our nearest starbucks is and how to get from London bridge to home and more. Why now you can even talk them into doing things for you , that one i like. I can't wait until my iphone can fetch me a drink. However for us web designers, times have changed , for now we must design for the little micro browsers that display on the screens and in the hands of the growing millions of enthusiastic gadget fanatics like myself for example.« StartPrev123NextEnd »
